First Wave Pool Surf School in Orlando, Florida.
Owner, Craig Carroll is a pioneer in the wave pool surf school concept.
In 1993 Mr. Carroll started The Cocoa Beach Surfing School, one of the first surfing schools/summer surf camps in Florida. He is a leader in the Cocoa Beach area where he currently operates the Ron Jon Surf School SM. with over 1600 students learning to surf every year.
The formula behind his success is the combination of an effective instructional method, material set-up and a labor division system formulated on safety guidelines developed during his 41 years surfing and coaching experience.
In 1998, he approached one of the largest theme parks in the Orlando, Florida area with the idea of giving him a chance to design a program for their already existing wave pool.
He was brought in as a consultant to design a Surfing School concept for their water park. The original concept was uniquely successful and is still operating today under the direction of Craig Carroll and the Cocoa Beach Surfing School Staff.
It was hailed as one of the "Best Kept Secrets" on a Discovery Channel special about little known special events available at the theme park.
In 2008 the Cocoa Beach Surfing School celebrated 10 years of service as the longest existing Wave Pool Surf School in the United States.
